RETURNS and WARRANTY
Dear e-Tint Customer,
Although we do not require you to register your new product, it is important to keep the following information to obtain warranty service. In the event that you would like to file a claim, e-Tint Customer Support will require the following:
- SERIAL NO. Found on the back of the packaging card, next to the UPC code
- MODEL NO.
- ORIGINAL PURCHASE RECEIPT
- FIRST & LAST NAME
- TELEPHONE NUMBER
- EMAIL & SHIPPING ADDRESS
RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY
e-Tint LLC is committed to creating the best performance products in the industry and we are always interested in receiving input from our valued customers. If you experience a problem with one of our products we want to know about it.
You may return any new, unopened product for a full refund or exchange within (30) days of purchase. Please see your retailer if you purchased a product in a store or online. Special order returns are at our discretion on a case-by-case basis. The total refund amount is for the cost of your product, excluding shipping. Please contact e-Tint Customer Support for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number, and specific return and shipping instructions. Products returned for full refund must be in new condition and in original packaging including any accessories and manuals that was included with the product, and returned to us within 30 calendar days of the issuance of the RMA. A purchase receipt MUST be provided with the return of any product. Products returned without an RMA will not be eligible for a refund or exchange. The shipping and duty charges for returning a product are the customer’s responsibility.
All e-Tint products are warranted for a period six (6) months from the date of original purchase against any defects in materials and workmanship. If you find a defect within six (6) months after purchase, we kindly request you return your product to e-Tint, LLC if you have bought the product from us directly. We will then evaluate your claim and, based on our findings and at our option, repair or replace any e-Tint® product that does not conform to the Limited Warranty.
Please contact your retailer if you purchased a product in a store or online in a webshop other than e-tintproducts.com, AMIPowersports.com, CTRL-Eyewear.com, or CTRL-Eyewear-Shop.com.
If you are of the opinion that your e-Tint® product is not working because of any defect in materials or workmanship, please contact our e-Tint Customer Support for assistance by providing a concise description of the malfunction. We are often able to solve the problem quickly via email.
Based on your input, we assess whether the problem could qualify for warranty coverage and will then provide you a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and specific return and shipping instructions. In case e-Tint Customer Service determines, after analyzing the returned product, that the malfunction is not caused by a defect covered by the warranty, all relevant costs will be for your own account.
The e-Tint® product must be returned with an original purchase receipt for warranty service. Products returned without notification will not be eligible for limited warranty service. The shipping and duty charges for returning the product are the responsibility of the customer.
Online Auction, second hand Purchases: Products purchased through online auctions (this does not apply to purchases made on www.ctrl-eyewear.com), or second hand purchases are not eligible for warranty coverage. Online auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification. To obtain warranty service, an original or copy of the sales receipt from the original retailer is required. We will not replace missing components from any package purchased through an online auction.
Returns or replacements of parts and/or products may be subject to shipping, handling, replacement and/or restocking fees. Note: Please do not hand deliver your product to the RMA facility, even if you live nearby. These locations are not set up to receive visitors.
e-Tint LLC’s only obligation in the event of defects that are assessed to be within the warranty coverage is to repair or replace the defective part or product with a similar part or product at our own discretion. Besides this repair or replacement, the processing or other handling of this product is without warranty or other liability even though the defect or loss might be caused by negligence or other fault.
e-Tint, LLC assumes no liability for any incident, accident, loss, injury, death or other claims related to or resulting from the use of e-Tint® products. The user of our products should be aware that even in the clear (off) state, the lenses are darker than without the use of glasses and e-Tint® products must be used with the utmost care and at own risk. The electronics of e-Tint® products may lead to sudden, unexpected changes in light which could surprise and distract. The user must be aware that the e-Tint® product is an electronic wearable and hence treat it as such.
All e-Tint® products are warranted for six (6) months from the date of purchase against any defects in materials and workmanship. This limited warranty is valid only to the original purchaser with a proof of purchase from an Authorized Dealer that clearly shows the purchase details. If you find a defect within six (6) months after purchase, please contact e-Tint Customer Support and tell us what the problem is, then follow the Return Policy procedure. We will evaluate your claim and based on our findings, repair or replace any defective product. The e-Tint® product must be returned with a purchase receipt for warranty service.
Your exclusive remedy for breach of warranty will be the repair or replacement of the item or a monetary refund as determined by us. This warranty does not affect the legal rights of customers under applicable state or national laws governing the sales of consumer goods.
Online Auction Purchases: Products purchased through online auctions (other than our primary websites) are not eligible for warranty coverage. Online auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification. We will not replace missing components from any package purchased through an online auction.
The Limited Warranty set forth above applies only to products manufactured by or for e-Tint, LLC and that bear the “e-Tint®”, “AKARI®” or “CTRL®” trademark and logo. The Return Policy and Limited Warranty does not apply to: (a) non-e-Tint parts, such as batteries, helmet visor or face shield, even if packaged or sold with an e-Tint® product; (b) any defects due to accidents, improper use, improper repair, physical damage, water damage, neglect & improper fit; (c) damage caused by ordinary wear and tear; (d) scratched lenses or altered product. (e) damage caused by service or repair performed by anyone who is not a representative of e-Tint; or (f) to damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the product’s use or installation.
EXCEPT AS SET FORTH IN THE LIMITED WARRANTY, ALL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES MADE AVAILABLE TO YOU BY E-TINT LLC ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. NO INFORMATION OR ADVICE OBTAINED THROUGH THE E-TINT®, CTRL™ OR AMI POWERSPORTS WEBSITES, OR ANY OTHER AFFIRMATION OF E-TINT PRODUCTS, BY WORDS OR ACTIONS, SHALL CONSTITUTE A WARRANTY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH ANY PRODUCT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO PURCHASE THE PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL E-TINT PRODUCTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY E-TINT® PRODUCT OR SERVICE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ACCORDINGLY, THOSE PROVISIONS SET FORTH ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
